Project Description

The open office spaces at Colliers are organised by a continuous linear lighting grid. Its regular order follows the workplace structure and creates an overarching connection between workstations, meeting areas and communication zones.

Large-format light modules provide uniform illumination across the work areas and are directly integrated into the ceiling architecture. The lighting system therefore recedes as a technical element, while its grid supports the organisation of the open office space.

Meeting and communication areas receive targeted concentrations of light within this underlying structure. The different uses remain perceptible without interrupting the continuous sightlines or the openness of the floor plan.

In this way, the ceiling lighting fulfils both functional and spatially organising roles. Workplace structure, light distribution and ceiling architecture interlock to form a coherent system that makes the organisation of the open-plan office legible.

Project Information

Architecture Type: Open office architecture with a linear spatial grid, workstations, meeting areas and communication zones.

Lighting Concept & Design Approach: A continuous linear lighting grid forms the overarching lighting structure and follows the organisation of the workstations. Uniform light supports the work areas, while targeted concentrations of light mark meeting and communication zones within the open floor plan.

Luminaire Integration: Large-format light modules and linear luminaires are directly integrated into the ceiling structure, together forming a continuous grid.

Spatial Effect: An ordered and open office environment with uniformly illuminated work areas, continuous sightlines and a clearly legible workplace organisation.
